Update: I've confirmed with the artist that while he did do concept art and design and a full break down of the script these pieces are done purely for his own enjoyment.

ReplyDeleteThis is not concept-art for the film Dredd. These are some pieces the Dredd comic-book artist named Jock did for himself before he was hired to do art-work for the film. No artwork for the film Dredd has been publicly seen yet.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the feedback garageman! It may not be official, but it is artwork from the property by one of the artists. If I can get official "yeah or nay" from the insiders I'll add a note.
ReplyDeleteThe Judge uniform in Jock's art above is the literal comic book version, the film is a different interpretation. I know Jock himself said it was only some spec work he did in January 2010. He did do a full comic/storyboard/pre-vis version of the entire script in pre-production which may get future release.
